Specimen of 1967, è version coupé with roof metal fixed in place of the convertible top in the canvas, model â€oeFixed Head Coupèâ€, FHC precisely.
The Lotus Elan was launched in 1962 and summed up in sé the whole philosophy of a myth, which Colin Chapman : stainless steel tubular frame, bodywork in fiberglass, contained weight and agility, Racing Steering with super-direct attitude and entertaining and spectacular. Suspensions 4 independent wheels and double wishbones, 4 disc brakes and engine with 4 cylinders in line with distribution bialbero.
This fantastic specimen was registered the 10.03.1967 with plate english NMY 96and, chassis nr.36/6675,engine 1.556 cc. with Weber carburettors double body 40 DCOE, RHD.
This splendid forty, rare and fun, è is one of 2,650 specimens of Lotus Elan constructed in the third series.
The'auto ̬ was fully restored between 1990 and 1991and ̬ then was the subject of the appropriate preparation by the specialist English Oselli,that has conferred an aspect gritty, underlined by'special attitude and exhaust central sports. The car, which develops so about 120 Cv, ̬ equipped with hoops FIA homologated, safety belts Willans and extinguishing system. Have just been completely redone brakes, suspensions and'electrical system. New tires.ITALIAN REGISTERED. The'inside it is very well preserved and the bodywork in fiberglass ̬ of a nice color red-fronted...a small fireball at a very competitive price!!!
