1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1
Documented Super Cobra Jet!
The Cobra Jet Mustang was Ford quarter mile terror of the time. The BOSS 429 became famous, but the guy with a well tuned Cobra Jet didn’t have to shy away from anyone at a red light! If you designated the Drag Pack option in 1970, you got a locking rear end, 3.91 or 4.30 ratio and for the motor to withstand the abuse it was beefed up with LeMans connecting rods, external oil cooler and much more .
Finished in its factory correct colour of Medium Blue metallic, this Mach 1 is a great example of a well optioned Cobra Jet, built to run!! A factory “R” code 428, it is also equipped with the drag pack option meaning it gets the Super Cobra Jet title. To make the car look as good as it went, front and rear spoilers, rear window louvers and the Mach 1 specific striping. Power front disc brakes kept things under control, factory tach making sure the C6 automatic was worked properly. This restored Mach 1 comes fully documented by a deluxe Marti report and would make a valued addition to the collection of any muscle car or Mustang enthusiast!
