you/they would never have imagined, in the far 1939, the carrozziere Henry Maestri and the official pilot of the Fiat Paul Butti that their project of a prepared run berlinetta on the loom of the Fiat 500A, would Be become A Piece Of History DELL €.AUTOMOBILISMO.
The Italian design, in the field dell €.auto very also owes to the creativitis of small carrozzieri and producers, that unfortunately by now I am only patrimony of the memory of a narrow group of students and impassioned.
Henry Maestri, mechanic and carrozziere, on January 12 is born in Piacenza 1917e in 1939, on application of the pilot Paul Butti, plans l €.allestimento on crossbow loom long of the Fiat 500A, of one sporting berlinetta.
The design introduces him extremely inserted in the search areodinamica , especially in the competitive field, piis advanced ¹ dell €.apoca.
The body shop is drawn in an unique mass with lighthouses, mudguards and calandras inserted in a profile count of a 3 volumes of dimensions very contained, but decidedly harmonious.
Unfortunately the project remains frozen for l €.avvento of the war, for to materially begin as car built in 1945 and his/her homologation 3 years later in 1948.
Meastri at the end of his/her attivitis of builder potris to boast to have realized, all alone, well 6 cars, two berlinettes and 4 small boat, all derived by Fiat 500..e of which I/you/they have remained only of it 3!!!
In the years to it will follow, continueris his/her attivitis in one small shop in Piacenza aware of the fact to have left one his small, but remarkable testimony in the world of the history dell €.auto and of the design.
The motor has a capacity of 569 instead, side valves and it emits 20 cv (against the 13 of the version of series).
As it regards the recent history instead, we can say that the old one owner, after having her/it ripescata on the occasion of a show exchange him is ¨ busy to follow all the phases of the restauration of it (Dcoumentandolo with a book important and detailed).
You/he/she has reconstructed in Carthusian way of it the sporting history picking up in him years all the attesting documents the various demonstrations shares and personally piloted (I would Add with extreme to like!) during different historical rievocazioni, among which the notorious Vernasca.
